MEET TIFFANY A. HORSTEIN

I am a creative and compassionate family advocate. I dedicate my practice to helping my clients grow their family and keep it intact. Whether you are seeking to adopt or looking into assisted reproductive technology, I would love to help you move your family forward!

After spending the first 6.5 years of my career helping my clients in personal injury cases, I decided to apply my litigation skills to a practice area where I could find more meaning. In working for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) I had the opportunity to learn the in-and-outs of the agency, while helping protect kids from abuse and neglect. I was also fortunate to have many opportunities to help parents move forward following difficult times. After handling nearly 400 abuse and neglect cases at DCFS, and gaining a better understanding of our foster care system, I wanted deeper, direct interaction with the children and families I was helping.

On an even more personal level, at the age of 31 and newly married I was diagnosed with Lymphoma. This presented new concerns in family planning, bringing about first-hand experience with assisted reproductive technology. Learning about the impact chemotherapy can have on fertility gave me a new understanding of the struggles families can face as they attempt to grow. This experience further fueled my passion for building an accessible child and family-focused law firm.

My time at DCFS and my personal journey led me to create Family Forward Law, LLC, focusing on directly improving the lives of children and families. Acknowledging the financial constraints families can face during their journey, Family Forward Law focuses on providing affordable legal representation through alternative fee structures and works with our clients to establish predictable pricing.

When I’m not helping other families, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Dave, mini-goldendoodle, Rizzo, and daughter, Hailey.
